We're seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Staff Accountant to support corporate and project accounting functions within a dynamic organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting internal and external stakeholders with a high level of professionalism.
Corporate Accounting
- Prepare monthly bank and investment account reconciliations
- Allocate and post credit card transactions
- Maintain and manage A/P and A/R processes
- Post recurring journal entries and provide general ledger support
- Maintain vendor records and ensure W-9 compliance
- Process checks, receipts, and deposits
- Assist with partner distributions, capital calls, and reporting
- Track and manage property tax payments
- Support leadership with ad hoc accounting tasks and projects
Project / Construction Accounting
- Process and post job-cost related invoices
- Post approved contracts and change orders
- Review monthly construction pay applications and process payments
- Prepare and manage construction loan draws, monitoring completion, retainage, and contingencies
- Reconcile job cost reports to CIP and GL accounts
- Track preliminary notices, lien waivers, and insurance compliance
- Support contract administration activities
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience (construction or project accounting a plus)
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar systems preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of integrity, dependability, and ownership
